Pascale Redig is active within the Johnson & Johnson Research & Development Procurement organization where she negotiates on a daily basis contracts, mainly academia, for service and research collaborations in the R&D discovery space. She is currently based at Janssen Pharmaceutica NV in Beerse, Belgium.
Before joining the pharmaceutical industry she held for more than 10 years a position in academic techtransfer. In 2001 she joined the techtransfer office of Ghent University where she was responsible for negotiating research contracts with industry. In 2006 she transferred to the University of Antwerp to head the newly started techtransfer office where she oversaw the patenting and licencing activities, was involved in setting up industry-academia interactions and create new spin out ventures.
Pascale holds a Ph.D. in biology and a master in Molecular Biology. After obtaining her PhD she started working as a senior researcher at the biotech start up company Plant Genetic Systems, currently Bayer BioScience NV, in Ghent.
Since 2012 she is a member of the ASTP professional development team where she co-organises training courses for tech transfer managers starting out in the profession.
